We’ve heard a lot great things about Caffe Milano and we finally had a chance to try it! From the appetizer to dessert everything was outstanding!! The short rib arancini was delicious! I had a hard time deciding on a meal because the menu had so many appealing options. I went with the short rib pappardelle. One of the best things I’ve ever had!! My husband loved the lasagna. We are looking forward to having our leftovers tonight! The pistachio tiramisu was soo delicious! The inside of Caffe Milano is super cute!
I believe this was the best, most authentic Italian cuisine that we have experienced since dining in Rome. Nothing in RI compares to the quality and detail of the food that was served to us. This was my first trip here, and to be honest, I never knew it was there even though I drove by it probably 50 times since the restaurant opened. The snail salad was the tastiest and most tender we have ever tasted. The lobster arancini was a perfect combination, well stuffed with tender risotto and a provolone cheese that had a noticeable, fresh taste and bite. For main courses we had pollo milanese and fruits di mare. The chicken cutlet was pounded perfectly thin and was coated with crushed, homemade breadsticks, outstanding. The fruits di mare had shrimp, calamari, quahogs and salmon. The linguine was freshly made, light and fluffy. The tomato sauce was authentic and perfectly seasoned. The bar service from Alyssa and Addie was outstanding. Small touches in the drink making and service just added to the quaint, homey feel of the entire experience. To be honest, I was hesitant to write such a positive review so I could protect such a wonderful gem of a culinary experience. But that would not be fair, as the owner desrves recognition for his talents and efforts. meraviglioso, ciao!
What a fantastic meal! The only thing upsetting about our experience is that it took a year to get here!! As a restaurant owner our schedules never line up but we were finally able to get to Caffe Milano as we were all craving veal and have heard about the famous veal chops and pounded bone in veal parm (will be specials only soon). We split the Milano Weiner as an app because no matter high end we get: hot dogs are still amazing and this was an insane take on one. Never would we combine melted cheese, bolognese, mustard and mayo on a hot dog but damn did it work! Snail salad was great as well. The star of the show: 3 of us got Veal (Milanese and parm) and 2 of us asked for an upgrade to pink vodka rigatoni for the side. AMAZING pink sauce and would have been happy with just that. The rest of us got the marina (rigatoni instead of spaghetti) which was cooked absolutely perfect Al dente with the right chew. All of us had great appetites and still had leftovers. No room for deserts but will try next time. Great drinks, great chat with Manny and truly a fantastic Italian meal, being full blooded Italian we go to maybe 3 places for Italian cuisine. Caffe Milano is not on that exclusive list. We highly recommend it. Given the size it’s recommended to make RSVP Great job Manny and the team
Love it. Have been “date sighting” here for the past few weeks. Love what they did to the diner! let coming forward to summer. I’m n the meantime, feel if is excellent. Manny the owner is a gem. Addie behind the bar is a jewel. What else do I need? love it.
Outstanding service and very delicious food! Quaint to the point of intimate making a reservation is smart. The gnocchi blew my mind! So delicate and creamy. Homemade ravs are to die for! Veal parm and chicken parm are both incredible. Was told that they cater!
Cafe Milano in North Kingstown was outstanding. I recently took my staff there for a group event of roughly 30 people, and we essentially took over the entire restaurant. The team could not have been more accommodating — they rearranged tables for us, made the space work perfectly, and even allowed everyone to order off the regular menu, which was phenomenal. The food was amazing, the drinks came out quickly, and the service was spot on from start to finish. For a large group, the timing was excellent — meals came out smoothly, everyone was taken care of, and the whole experience felt organized and relaxed. Everyone had a great time, and multiple people in our group said they plan to come back soon. This is an outstanding spot for an event, dinner, or group gathering. Looking forward to our next visit. Great spot with excellent food- in the old Snoopy's Diner location. Small dining car, unique design, very lively. We loved it. The food was superb. The outdoor lighted clear yurts and decor is very cute, very lively. Kind of Venetian inside, .. even the dessert was great - ricitta infused blueberry cheesecake. This was a last minute thing as we were headed to another spot on Rt2. So glad we went- the staff is great too. I had Chicken Milanese, and my husband had the bolognese. We had drinks too..cost us about 110, ( if pay with cash) slightly more with card.
During my first visit to Caffe Milano for lunch with friends, I was thoroughly impressed with the entire experience. Mannie, the owner, provided exceptional service, showcasing his friendly and helpful demeanor. The Italian dishes we sampled were authentic and generously portioned. The wine list was also commendable. The quality of the food and service prompted me to order a take-out meal for another day. The desserts were outstanding, and we opted to try a selection of them. I am enthusiastic about sharing my positive experience with friends and anticipating our next visit. Notably, Caffe Milano retains its charm despite being housed in the former Snoopys Diner building, which has been tastefully renovated. Outdoor seating is available in the rear.
Love what they’ve done to this old tyme diner. The food is excellent and we can hardly wait for the outdoors to fully bloom this summer. Definitely a go to neighborhood spot. Enjoy a good cocktail and, don’t forget the fresh baked garlic bread!
Don’t let the exterior fool you! While it looks like a classic metal breakfast diner from the outside, the interior of Caffe Milano is incredibly cozy, intimate, and small. It’s a true "don't judge a book by its cover" gem. The food and drinks are top-notch, featuring high-quality ingredients that really stand out. I had the Pappardelle Pasta with Short Rib Ragu, and the sauce paired with the fresh pasta was absolutely fantastic. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful, making the experience even better. Because of the limited seating, I highly recommend making a reservation!
